Nourishment Becomes Us

Dinner Performance: March 13/7pm

In this performance, local artist Gabby Da Silva will cook culturally significant dishes and serve them to guests, filling the decaying house with the rich scents of an active kitchen. Participants will gather around a table as the artist feeds them, evoking the nurturing act of a mother feeding a child.

Uncanny Valley

Private Walkthrough: April 6/2-4pm

Join artist Carey Shaw on a private tour of her miniature scenes that show a tiny window into the past lives of this humble little house.

Shared Echoes

Dinner & Short film screening May 2/7pm

Alexandra Flynn of Vancouver and Myra Leibu of Montreal, leaders of an intergenerational residency, invite people to break bread and see what they are doing at the house. A special screening of a short film shot on site by a young filmmaker will be screened.

Bone Rattle

Audio Performance May 10/7pm

Bone Rattle is a sound intervention that employs a custom built subwoofer to turn the house itself into an infrasonic instrument. Join Vancouver Artist Sara Gold for this unique experience. Opening act by local musician respectfulchild.

Suspended Histories

Participatory Installation May 24/3pm

Join Jon Fiddler, Toronto-based artist and family doctor, originally from Saskatoon and Waterhen Lake First Nation for an immersive installation that takes you upside down to witness a pre-colonial immersive installation.

The Final Feast

One night only: A dance intervention will be staged by the illustrious local KSAMB dance company!

Exhibition drop-in May 30 – June 1
